Pitiful Pirogues

From the dock area we walked down a short path, through the weeds to the pirogues. These were not a solid trunk of wood as the previous ones were. These were boards nailed together, and they were using a long knife to cram rags down into the cracks. There were no seats to sit on and I had no intention of getting wet. I think the difference is that the other ones were used for tourists, these were just used for transportation only.
